This digital divide exacerbates educational inequalities, hindering the ability of vulnerable populations to acquire essential skills needed in the modern world.

– Digital literacy training for 3000 teachers
– Digital learning gadgets for teachers
– Digital literacy campaign in secondary school
– Partnership with Sterling One Foundation.

T-TAI EDUCATION CONFERENCE

Problem

Recognizing the high rates of school dropouts and outof-school children in rural communities across Nigeria, T-TAI developed an education strategy to address this pressing issue. This strategy focuses on providing orientation and motivation to students vulnerable to these challenges. As part of the initiative, T-TAI launched a campaign in rural communities to emphasize the importance of quality education. To make the campaign impactful, we adopted a storytelling approach, inviting successful and notable individuals from various sectors to share their journeys and how education played a pivotal role in their achievements. This approach not only inspires students but also highlights the transformative power of education in shaping brighter futures.

T-TAI SCHOOL FEES BURSARIES

Problem

Poverty, hunger, and economic hardship are key factors contributing to the high dropout rates among students in rural communities. Approximately 60% of students are unable to afford school fees as low as ₦5,000 (T-TAI survey, 2020), underscoring the financial barriers to education. In response, we launched an annual scholarship scheme aimed at reducing the out-of-school rate by providing financial support to vulnerable students, ensuring they can continue their education uninterrupted.

– 2020- 50 beneficiaries. Documented details (here).

T-TAI FREE CONTINOUS ACADEMY

Problem

With the high rate of students experience learning poverty, meaning they are unable to solve basic mathematics problems or communicate effectively in English. This issue is more prevalent in rural areas, including the T-TAI beneficiary communities, where many secondary school students struggle to pass O’level qualifying exams. Alarmingly, up to 60% of students in government secondary schools resort to examination malpractices to achieve passing grades.
In response, we developed the Continuous Academy initiative, a strategic solution aimed at reducing learning poverty. Through this program, we provide free academic tutorials designed to enhance students’ proficiency in core subjects, equipping them with the skills needed for academic success.

IMPACT SUMMARY
– Up to 100 students enrolled.
– 60% of beneficiaries already in higher institution.

SUMMER BOOTCAMP

Problem

Many children, especially in underserved communities, face learning gaps during the long summer break due to a lack of structured academic and extracurricular activities. This often leads to a decline in academic retention and skill development. Additionally, limited access to vocational training deprives children of the opportunity to acquire practical skills that could enhance their future employability and self-reliance. Addressing these gaps through summer coaching and vocational development programs can provide children with continuous learning opportunities, bridge academic deficits, and equip them with essential life skills.

IMPACT SUMMARY
– 2023-Up to 10 students recorded as beneficiaries
– 2024- 300 beneficiraries in Ikire
